Ideas for Chicken Enrichment

Part of wanting a life of happiness and fulfillment for a flock of chickens includes introducing chicken enrichment. I'm compiling a list of things that I'm finding online so I can come back to this at a later time. 

1. Hanging sunflowers in the coop

2. Having parrot toys in their enclosure

3. Scattering mealworms and crickets in their enclosure regularly

4. Light-catchers can create visual interest, stimulating their brains

5. Provide plenty of structures for climbing and perching

6. Give them natural hiding spots within the outdoor enclosure

7. Hang mirrors in different places

8. Add curtains to nesting boxes for privacy

9. Add dirt, dust, and sand so they can choose the dustbath they want to use

10. Secure ramps and ladders throughout 

I'll keep adding back to this, but these are all easy and cost-efficient DIYs that could really add value to your chicken's life.
